“Snow dogs to the rescue”

Growing up with pets I have always had a love for dogs in my heart.  My own pup is a newfoundland, commonly known as rescue swimmer dogs. Swimming at the lake with her it was like instinct for her to swim strong and let people grab onto her.  She never had any training yet she could get you to shore in record time.  Dogs are being recognized more and more for the great things they can do besides just cuddling.  From working with the police to rescue swimming to snow missions, dogs are amazing creatures.  An article recently published in the Daily Record highlights a new snow rescue team and how they are using dogs in avalanche rescues all over the state.  The amazing things dogs can accomplish are rounded in all areas.  Think about that next time your pooch doesn’t sit on command, they’re smarter than you think.
